Ensight Planting it Forward!

You may recall in January this year Ensight Energy Solutions collaborated with Rotary International to erect ablution facilities at the local Sekusilezulu Crèche in Mzingazi.  This sanitation project is nearing completion and is expected to be in operation by the end of the month.

Through the Energy Leadership Program, Ensight and Richards Bay Minerals have engaged and worked towards reducing energy costs while being mindful that our natural environment is currently under significant pressure from the effects of human induced climate change.

“Contributing to not only,

environmental

sustainability but also

economic growth…”

Since it was World Environment Day on Monday, 5th June and the theme was “Connecting People to Nature”, Ensight donated trees and plants to the Sekusilezulu crèche so that the teachers and children could appreciate the beauty of nature and in so doing protect the Earth.

Contributing to not only, environmental sustainability but also economic growth Ensight enlisted the expertise of local nursery owner Julius Mthembu from Indwe Nursery (who has been in business for eight years) to plant trees, ground cover and plants.  These will later provide much needed shade from the Zululand sun for the children of the crèche and at the same time adding aesthetic beauty to the site.

One of Ensight’s core values is Environmental Sustainability and with their tagline of “creating an abundant future”, the planting of the trees has literally sown the seeds for the transformation of the crèche surroundings to grow their abundant future!
